You’re Not Tired — You’re Carrying Too Much
Most men say they’re tired.
But tired isn’t the real word.
You’re overloaded.
You’re carrying expectations.
You’re carrying responsibility.
You’re carrying the pressure to be strong, to lead, to fix, to provide.
And you’re doing it mostly in silence.
When my brother passed away, something shifted inside me. I learned early what it meant to carry grief quietly. I learned how to function while hurting. I learned how to smile while processing loss.
That skill can become dangerous.
Because when men get good at carrying weight, people stop asking if it’s too heavy.
The workplace doesn’t slow down.
Marriage doesn’t pause.
Fatherhood doesn’t wait.
Bills don’t disappear.
So, you push through.
But pushing through without unloading will eventually break something, your health, your patience, your joy, your connection.
Strength is not pretending nothing affects you.
Strength is knowing when to put something down.
Talk to someone.
Pray.
Write.
Ask for help.
Say, “This is heavy.”
You are not weak for feeling overwhelmed.
You are human.
And sometimes leadership starts with admitting you cannot carry everything alone.
